Located in a quiet but convenient area of the beautiful and historic town centre of Orvieto, this lovely building, medieval in origin, was completely rebuilt between 2004 and 2006 with new foundations, reinforced concrete pillars and concrete floors/ceilings. The façade however, has been retained so the original exterior belies the architect designed interior.
The ground floor consists of an entrance hall, an office and a bedroom, both of which have bathrooms. There are also two storage areas and access to the cellar and to the garden, both of which measure about 20 square metres.
On the first floor there is a sitting room, an open plan kitchen/dining room with balcony and metal stairs leading down to the garden. There is also a balcony on the second floor along with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a closet and laundry.
The attic space is used as an additional bedroom as well as games room and storage.
The heating, plumbing and electrical systems were freshly installed when the building was restored. As well as mains gas under-floor heating, there is hot and cold air conditioning by means of an electrical heat pump. The external fixtures and fittings are double sealed with thermal glass which contributes to the outstanding A2 energy classification. Stylish and well restored by the architect owner, the property has both residential and commercial use with great access.
It goes without saying that Orvieto is stunning and a wonderful city to inhabit with transport links up and down the Italian peninsula.
