Chatley Wood House enjoys direct access to The New Forest, perfect for horse riding with unlimited hacking throughout all seasons over its 57,000 hectares.
The New Forest National Park is a unique landscape of heathland, ancient wood, enclosures and picturesque villages. It offers extensive outdoor pursuits such as riding, cycling, fishing and shooting.
The Georgian market town of Lymington is a renowned yachting destination, with its sailing facilities including Royal Lymington Yacht Club, marina and a wide range of boutique shops and restaurants. Lymington provides access to the Isle of Wight by ferry which takes cars or foot passengers. By road, the dual carriageway A31 is about 3.5 miles away; the A31 becomes the M27 at Cadnam which links directly to the M3. There are mainline services to London Waterloo from Southampton (approximately 1 hour 20 minutes). Southampton and Bournemouth International Airports provide for an increasingly diverse number of destinations.
There are a number of excellent schools in the area. These include: Forres Sandle Manor, Moyles Court School,Ballard School and Durlston Court Preparatory in New Milton, Walhampton School in Lymington and King Edward VI Southampton. The public schools of Canford and Bryanston are within a 45 minute drive and the Salisbury schools are also within good proximity.
