Mansion with private berth and boathouse.
On the banks of the Wetering you will find the thatched-roof mansion Weteringstaete. Architect Van Manen presumably based his designs for this house on a large family, as it has been specially designed to ensure that everyone can have their own place to relax, as well as providing large areas that are great for spending time together. The house was built in 2001 and boasts at least 574 square metres of floor space located on a 1-acre parcel of land. This majestic, yet homely mansion is characterised by the exceptional quality of its finishing. The attractive floors tiled with natural stone and the many alluring mantelpieces give the house a warm, intimate ambiance. The gates of the driveway are fitted with a video system and the house is secured with an alarm system. The entire mansion is also equipped with an integrated vacuuming system. Upon entering the house, the luxurious materials and high-quality finishing of the house immediately become evident. There are copious areas inside and outside the house to sit down and relax, enjoying nature, tranquillity and the exquisite surroundings. The property’s majestic front door opens up into a roomy entrance hall with a cloakroom and guest bathroom. An alluring staircase leads up to the upstairs floors. To the right of the front door, double French doors provide access to the large living room with its impressive mantelpiece, which affords ample space for a comfortable sitting area and dining table. On both sides of the mantelpiece, two doors lead to the terrace at the front of the house. Moving back, the entrance hall also provides access to a study, which has French doors that open into the outdoor area. Next to the study, there is a pantry, which is connected to the attached triple garage with electric doors. In the dining room, which has an open connection to the kitchen, a sandstone mantelpiece provides the space with a pleasant atmosphere. The kitchen boasts a luxurious kitchen island with a seated bar, as well as top-of-the-line kitchen equipment, including a separate grill and griddle. The kitchen is fully and luxuriously equipped; a veritable wonderland for cooking aficionados. The kitchen island is fitted with a four-burner gas hob, as well as a griddle and a grill and is a joy for any chef. The kitchen island includes a seated bar, so that you can join the chef to try out the delicacies. For more formal, intimate diners, there is an attractive dining room with a mantelpiece next to the kitchen. And for larger dinners, you need only move to the spacious living room to be able to host spectacular feasts. After the party, guests can retreat to the second floor, which has plenty, sizeable bedrooms. The veranda adjacent to the kitchen is a useful addition and can also be used as an extra outdoor room. This area also includes a mantelpiece and an inventive rotating screen that can be used to partially shield the room from the wind, or open up the area to the outdoors. A terrace heating system allows you to sit back and relax outdoors, regardless of the weather.
