This farm, consisting of two independent structures, for a total of 204 square meters plus a loggia, terrace and veranda, stands on the top of a private hill surrounded by centuries-old olive trees for the production of extra virgin olive oil. The view sweeps over the plowed fields and vines of the surrounding countryside and the village of Buriano. The farmhouse was rebuilt following the architectural lines of the original layout, as per the regulations of the "Listed Buildings". The area is in fact protected by the Superintendence for architectural and landscape heritage of the provinces of Siena and Grosseto, as being of considerable historic and artistic interest.
The main building spreads over 2 floors: 93 sq m on the ground floor and 55 sq m on the first floor (at the beginning of the century it was a barn), plus an area of about 10 sq m on the mezzanine. The loggia/veranda (10 m2) on the first floor enriches the farmhouse.
The outbuilding (agricultural annex of 46 sqm), which is around 30 m away from the first building, comprises a large terracotta paved veranda with a double pitched roof (37 square meters).
Local materials were used for the construction and furnishings: sandblasted terracotta bricks for the ceilings, wood for the exposed beams and for the large truss, Tuscan terracotta for the floors, earth-colored travertine for the bathroom cladding, gray travertine for architectural details.
The ground floor, which can be accessed from two doors on different sides of the property, houses a large and bright living area equipped with a hood for the installation of a large fireplace and a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and a second bathroom. The first floor, connected by a suggestive brick staircase, consists of two bedrooms, one with fireplace, a bathroom, a living room with an open kitchen and a terrace. The two floors can be considered as two independent and divisible apartments, both being equipped with the rooms and the technical connections necessary for individual units.
Terracotta paved walkways around the houses and dry stone walls decorate the large garden, with an area where it is possible to build a swimming pool. The total area of the land comprising olive groves, coppice and pasture is 2.3 hectares. Possibility of customization as the properties are not furnished, with the exception of the bathrooms.
